JEF BONNIE LASS
HH Greystone Sir Charles X Dain's Irish Lass
1997  14.1h Grey from Bay
Inspected and Approved
Bonnie was our very first purebred pony.  We took our time looking for her as we knew she
would be hard to find.  Bonnie exemplifies all the characteristics of the connemara pony that
has drawn us to the breed.  Her temperament is generous, adventurous, dutiful, and
dependable.  Her conformation is very nicely balanced and correct with a shorter back, good
length of hip, and sizeable bone.  She is an outstanding mover...a real traffic stopper!
Bonnie conditioned this spring for the GMHA 25 mile Ride/Drive CTR.  Her trip
to Vermont was wonderful as we saw some of the most rugged terrain on the east coast.
The views from the mountains are breathtaking, we recommend that ride highly.
As we moved toward July, the terrain in our area turned to concrete and we ran less
miles to preserve our ponies.  As a result, Avelene did not sent a pony to the NY
100/60 mile CTR this year (Congratulations to Rachel Lodder in winning the 100!).
Early July has brought us more rain so we will get the miles on Bonnie for the
Fingerlakes 50/25 mile CTR later in the season.  She may also take part in the
Round-Up for Hector Grazing.  She loves to move the cows!
UPDATE!

Bonnie Lass competed in The Burnt Hill 25 mile CTR the last weekend in
September.  She placed 4th out of a field of 22 horses with a score of 95%!
More importantly, she came home with the coveted BEST TRAIL HORSE
AWARD!!!!!!!!

She was the only pony at the ride...stealing the show!  Many comments were
made on her easy nature, smooth gliding gaits, and clean conformation!  She kept
up with all the horses and beat some of the best bred Arab lines.  Go Bonnie!!!
