| Cricket went straight to work this fall as an ambassador for the American Connemara Pony Society at the Equine Affaire! Not only was she enthusiastic about greeting visitors to the ACPS Booth but she performed during the breed demonstration as well. |
| Cricket is a 2001 model pony. Her background so far has been lower level eventing and dressage. Within a few short weeks of her arrival, we introduced her to the bitless bridle and panelled saddles that we use for distance riding. When we moved her out on trail, she quickly learned to navigate through very difficult terrain and pace herself over distances. Cricket has exceptional performance conformation. Her high point of shoulder and set back wither influences her longer stride. Her LS is in line with her hip and her hocks are closer set to enable great power and impulsion. Her neck is balanced with her length of back and her croup is equal in slope. She has a beautiful face, accented by her wide set large eyes! We have enjoyed sharing Cricket with others on venues such as the Equine Affaire. She is one of our larger personalities at Avelene! We love to tell people of our pony stories...but we love it more when the pony tells their own story. Sit quietly...she talks! |
